Acid dyes are dyes which are salts of a sulfuric, carboxylic or phenolic organic acid. These salts are often sodium salts and are usually highly soluble in water. They possess affinity for amphoteric fibers while lacking direct dyes' affinity for cellulose fibers. They are used in dying wool, angora, cashmere and silk.

They also find many applications in leather industry and are widely used in colouring of hyde in tanneries. Basic dye is a stain that is cationic (positively charged) and so will react with material that is anionic (negatively charged). Their color base is not water soluble but can be made so by converting the base into a salt. The basic dyes, while possessing great tinctorial strength and brightness, are not generally light-fast. These are mainly applied to acrylic fibers, but find some use for wool and silk.

Direct dye, also called Substantive Dye, any of a class of coloured, water-soluble compounds that have an affinity for fibre and are taken up directly, such as the benzidine derivatives. Direct dyes are usually cheap and easily applied, and they can yield bright colours.

Our Solvent dyes are highly soluble in most organic solvents. Solvent dyes are however not soluble in water. We manufacture solvent dyes which are solvent free and have very low impurities and can be used in various applications such as foil printing, printing inks, marking pens, ball point pens, candles and other waxes, polishes, leathers, wood stains, acrylic resins, varnishes and shellacs.

Solvent dyes manufactured by us can withstand high temperatures and are ideal for extrusion and injection molding processes. As a result they are used to impart color on many solid materials such as nylon, polyester, acetates, PVC, acrylics, PMMA, polystyrene, PETP and styrene monomers. Nigrosine Base manufactured by us is highly regarded and used by many customers for coloring Polyamide (Nylon) and is especially popular for coloring of PU soles.
